A former national NASARA coordinator for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abubakar Sulemana who’s better known as Lakulaku has lambasted the national executives of his party for what he describes as deliberate neglect of party members at the grassroots level.
According to him, the mantra of breaking the eight- year mantra by the party cannot be possible without the effort of these members and he’s therefore urging that the needs of these individuals are prioritize.
“Some executives of the party must be blamed for the apathy happening within the party. How do we break the eight when even party members have grievances? The party must pay strict attention to the grassroots members to ensure the party wins elections in the 2024. Some significant members of the party who have contributed to the victory of the NPP government over the years have been neglected and needed to be attended to immediately”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning in the morning on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
Adding that “Breaking the 8 will be possible when the party members are happy. Some members of the NPP especially the grassroots members are disgruntled because the party’s leadership is not concerned about their welfare, and we need to work to address that as a party”.
