The head of Corporate Affairs at the National Road Safety Authority, Pearl Adusu Gyasi, has revealed that women and young ladies who walk by the roadside in skimpy dresses contributes to road accident.
Speaking on Ghana Nti with Isaac Oteng on Movement TV, she said ‘’there are several factors that lead to road accidents. Over speeding is the leading cause, followed by wrongful overtaking, fatigue, drunk driving, paying attention to your phone or being involved in destructive activities including watching women who walk by the road side in short and skimpy dresses while driving”.
He added that within the first quarter of 2022, reported car crush or accident cases were 3932, 6587 cars were involved in a crush, 4025 were injured, 734 people died and 712 pedestrians were involved in an accident.
He called on all stakeholders to join hands in reducing the rate of road accident in the country. She admonished the media to intensify education and awareness.
Pearl Adusu encouraged drivers drivers to adhere to all safety protocols.
