The Chiefs of Kpandai in the Northern Region have assured Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), of their support, stating that breaking the eight-year power cycle is achievable.
This declaration was made during a courtesy call by the vice president as part of his campaign tour in the region.
The address was jointly issued on behalf of the ethnic groups in Kpandai by Nana Bayimgne II and Nana Abuga-Aba I, the Paramount Chiefs of the Nchumuru and Nawuri Traditional Areas, respectively. It was read by a representative of Nana Bayimgne.
The chiefs highlighted the positive impact of Bawumia’s tenure on the development of the district, expressing their gratitude and commitment to support his campaign efforts.
“The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the roles you played as Vice President in helping His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through policies implemented by your government that address the inequalities in the country.
“Your administration demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equality is your hallmark. Your mandate as Vice President brought significant development to the district. Once again, we warmly welcome you and your entourage to Kpandai and assure you that we, as a people, will, in due course, demonstrate that breaking the eight is possible,” he stated.
