Renowned lawyer, Nana Obiri Boahen has expressed his deep frustration with some political leaders in the country, questioning their integrity and leadership qualities.
In an interview on Wontumi’s morning show, Boahen stated that he would ask God if some political leaders were created by Him or simply picked from the earth, given their questionable characters and attitudes.
Boahen specifically criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, led by former President John Dramani Mahama, for failing to consult the Council of State before making some appointments.
“The previous government’s failure to consult the Council of State was a clear dereliction of duty. This lack of transparency and accountability shouldn’t be overlooked, and it’s essential that we learn from these mistakes,” Boahen argued.
Furthermore, Boahen lamented the previous government’s failure to address issues with Opuni, which he believes has caused him and the nation undue pain.
He emphasized that it’s crucial for leaders to take responsibility for their actions and work towards the betterment of the country.
