A member of the NPP’s communications team, Mr. Kafui Amegah, has advised President Akufo-Addo to sit up.
He said if the President wants the NPP to win the 2024 elections, then there are certain things he must do to ensure that he wins the heart of Ghanaians.
” Why is President Akufo-Addo still keeping Honourable Ken Ofori Atta at post when the system needs to restore confidence…The system is not breathing. Oxygen will be given to most people very soon so why won’t the President take off oxygen of them…We are businessmen, yet we are suffering, and it is because the system is not breathing. All we need is to bring the confidence back…You need to get the finance minister off the system and let the system restore confidence for us to have peace of mind…”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.
“If I can’t pay salaries, I’m forced to lay workers off, with the mindset that we have a system where if there is no liquidity, it tells you that people are hoarding money. There are a lot of hoarding in the system but if the system restores confidence, money will begin to flow into the system. People who are hoarding money will now begin to offload it into the system”, he added.
He went further to use Cecilia Dapaah’s maid who is alleged to have stolen the former’s money as a case study…He applauded her for doing so, noting that it will serve as a lesson to others.
