Why Most Music Reality Show Winners Don’t Succeed – Iyanya

Singer ‘Iyanya’ Onoyom Mbuk, has stated why the majority of reality TV show winners fall short in the business of music.

Iyanya, who emerged as the Project Fame West Africa season one winner, indicated most of his co-winner has no plans to become famous.

He explained most of the contestants simply just came on the platform to ‘try their luck’ with their great singing voices and though unprepared, they won.

The ‘Kukere’ master, however, noted the ones who thrive are those who put in extra push, those that indeed prepared and prayed to get a chance on such platforms.

According to him: “Obviously, most people who win these reality shows don’t have any plans of being famous or anything. It just happened to them. Yeah, he has a nice voice, tried it and he won.

“So, I believe that the people who go further are the people who prayed for that platform. And they finally got it and they are like, ‘I’m not going back from here.’ That is how I look at it.”
