The former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for New Juaben North, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, has called on the NPP MPs who are calling for the removal of Ken Ofori Atta and Charles Adu Boahene to also call for the sacking of Dr. John Kuma and Abena Osei Asare.
On Tuesday, 25th October, 2022, some Members of Parliament who belong to the Majority caucus in Parliament called for the removal of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta and the Minister of State at the Fianace Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen. In a Press briefing led by the MP for Asante-Akim North Constituency, Hon Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, the group stated the removal of these two will help in the stabilization of the country’s economy.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, Kwadwo Boateng said that ‘’I have no problem with regards to their request, but my major concern is the channel they used to send their message across. As MPs, they are a part of government and so they also have the right to offer solutions. If there’s no ulterior motive then they should have channeled their concern through the party National Executives, Steering Committee, Council of Elders, National Executives and the Council of Elders- we go through process to resolve internal issues and not through public outlet’’.
”Ken Ofori Atta and Adu Boahene are not the only ministers who are managing the economy- they should have called for the removal of John Kumah and Abena Osei Asare because they are also part of the engineers of the economy. Are they shielding them because they are their colleague MPs? ’’, he questioned.
He stressed that the MPs should call for the resignation of their colleague MPs as well.
