A member of the NPP’s communications team, Maame Afia Akoto, has observed that the party could easily break-the-eight-year jinx. However, they must ensure that they focus on the party foot soldiers.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio with Kwaku Dawuro, she commended some CEOs including Ofosu Nkansah, Tima, and Akosua Manu. Adding that despite their busy schedules, they continue to live their lives like they used to, prior to their appointments.
“They continue to interact with party foot soldiers on social media. The likes of Oforiwaa, Ama Frimpongmaa, Yaw Preko among others. When they are equipped during such a time I describe as ‘injury time’, things will work better for us. Social media is part of their lives…They understand the new media…not those that foot soldiers do not know and cannot recognize them during party gatherings”, she stressed.
She questioned the number of CEOs who have been calling serial callers to extend support to them during festive seasons, for their contribution.
“Breaking-the-eight-year jinx is very possible and easy but can be very attainable and easy to do, if we treat these people well, so that they don’t develop apathy that would affect us…they ought to be givers”, she emphasized.
