The 3rd Vice Chair for the New Patriotic Party, Chairman Omani Wadie, has pleaded with appointees at various district assemblies to go about their duties in a collective manner.
In an interview with Isaac Oteng on Movement TV’s late afternoon political show dubbed Ghana Nti, he said, “The appointees were allotted to maintain law and order and not to parade themselves as people who are above the law which in turn creates enmity between the government and the general public.”
“We expect them to add to the good works of President Nana Addo. They should not put the law in their own hands and do what they want, they must abide by the laws”.
He indicated that President Akufo-Addo has only given a portion of the power Ghanaians vested in him to various assemblies and for that matter, they shouldn’t go about fighting people for disobeying the law.
“I once watched a video where a policeman was fighting a driver. That shouldn’t happen. You were sent to take care of the people and place and not to indulged in bribery or uncalled activities”.
“Ghanaians are too political. Once my government is not in power, I will do everything to destroy the environment and state properties just to make the ruling government unpopular. This is the mindset of some Ghanaians and it is not right, Ghana belongs to all of us”, he emphatically said.
He appealed to them to diligently do their jobs to aid in breaking the eight and admonished Ghanaians to adhere to the rules and regulations to ensure we protect state properties.
“Ghana is our property”, he added.
