The Ashanti Regional Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Kwesi Kyei has blasted former President John Mahama and minority MPs calling on the government of President Akufo-Addo to go to the IMF for a financial bailout instead introducing e-levy.
According to him it would only take a “mad” person and a “fool” to suggest to the ruling government to go to the IMF when they know very well that the negatives outweighs the positives.
“We have gone to IMF 17 times, and it has never ended us well. Anyone who says we should go there is mad and a fool”, Dr. Kwesi Kyei said on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Movementtvonline.com.
He explained that IMF is not a charitable organization and going to them will push the sitting government to introduce more taxes which would never finish paying on time.
