A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freda Agyemang Sarpong, has stated former President Mahama deceived Ghanaians after he bought sugar at Tudu and said the factory had produced it.
He made this known when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show.Â
She said, ”Mahama took the $24million to revamp the Komenda sugar factory but went to Tudu to buy sugar to show working. Now we can’t go back and demand money for the same project so we needed to partner with foreigners so they invest their money. The Nana-Addo led administration has revived the sugar factory but I do not like the idea of foreigners training local people. Can’t we use the local people for the training or produce the machines here in Ghana? Because at the end of the day, they will send the dollar back to their country, increasing inflation’’.Â
Freda stated she supports the NPP’s industrialization agenda because that will help in the country’s fight against inflation.Â
