You Don’t Have Any Moral Grounds To Advise Against Corruption- Hon. Kofi Okyeye Agyekum Tells Mahama

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Fanteakwa South Constituency, Hon. Okyere Agyekum, has stated emphatically that former President John Dramani Mahama has no moral grounds to advise against corruption.

His comment comes after President Mahama said the Akufo-led government has failed in the fight against corruption at the grand durbar of the Asogli Yam Festival in Ho.

Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the Morning Show, Hon Okyere Agyekum who also doubles as the ranking member of Public Accounts Committee said that ‘’Mahama has no moral grounds to advise against corruption. He gave a road contract to someone from Burkina Faso and took bribe, but the road was not even fixed. It took President Akufo-Addo to start working on that particular road. Mahama is in no position to advise Ghanaians against corruption’’.

‘’The Akufo-Addo government has passed ten laws in the fight against corruption, and has equipped the various institutions that are leading the fight so they can deliver and achieve result. Mahama is only deceiving Ghanaians”, Hon. Agyekum added.

He further stated that major scandals happened under President Mahama’s administration, talk of the bus branding scandal, Ford scandal, GYEEDA scandal and other corruptible activities that happened while he was in office.
