Former President John Mahama must immediately put a stop to blackmailing Ghana before the international community, Mr. George Akom has advised.
The Assistant Registrar for Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), in an interview on Wontumi TV, stated that the 2020 flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has gained notoriety for painting his country of birth black anytime he has an opportunity to interact with the international community.
His comment comes of the back of a speech Mr. Mahama delivered at the Harvard Business School where he stated that “in my country Ghana, our economy has emerged in an extremely poor shape from the COVID experience. A ballooning deficit, double-digit inflation, a nose-diving currency and increasing debt distress, are some of the symptoms of a very ill economy”.
Reacting to the above, Mr. Akom responded that “he (Mahama) is fond of blackmailing Ghana before international community” and proceeded to warn him that he “can’t use corruption as a political tool to stage a comeback to power.”
He advised him to him to learn to shine Ghana in a positive way when he is given an international platform to speak.
