The government’s spokesperson on social service of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Yussif Fafona has noted that the NPP is the only Party which can develop the country.
According to him, if Ghanaians pay attention to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), there’s no way the country can develop.
“These are people who always chastise the government. You may recall that when ex-President Kufuor was constructing the flagstaff house, the NDC spoke vehemently against the government’s decision. However, they are the ones enjoying the place- that’s exactly what they have begun with the current Akufo-Addo led administration, with regards to the building of the national cathedral”. he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
He said, there hasn’t been any time in the history of Ghana that the NDC has commended the NPP for doing something good in the country.
“The minority has refused to stay in Parliament to pass several bills which will inure to the benefit of the country but will be credited to the NPP. They have always criticized the government’s flagship program (free SHS) and they’ve been able to influence some ‘anti-NPP’ parents too, to also chastise the government’s policy, forgetting that it has helped reduced their burden”, he said.
He furthered that during the era of the NDC, they collapsed a lot of establishment and factories including Ghana Industrial home Co- operation (GIHOC) leaving the youth to their fate. The Ghana National Trading Company (GNTC) had many branches in the country, but the NDC collapsed it and sold them.
