The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Former Communications Director, Yaw Adomako Baafi has expressed disappointment in Yaw Buabeng Asamoa’s recent utterances against the party.
This comes after Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Yaw Buaben Asamoa said President Akufo-Addo has hijacked the party.
As the former Communications Director of the NPP, Mr. Asamoa contends that the president’s preferences now take precedence over the party’s decisions, making individuals who fall out of favour with the president essentially “useless” within the party.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he noted that he’s pained by such utterance by the former MP for Adentan, questioning the reason he will describe the same system that gave him so many privileges as devil because it didn’t go well for him.
Noting that Yaw Buabeng Asamoah was the least he would have expected to say ill about the government and President.
The same constitution that helped you serve Aliu Mahama, gave you the opportunity to contest as General Secretary for the party in 2012, is the same constitution that has expelled you from the party.
“I wasn’t even bitter as he is, when the role of communications Director was handed over to him, from me…I should have been the one acting in such a manner, but I comported myself so well during that time. There was not even a single village and market I never visited during my tenure as communications Director…It was my tenure President Akufo-Addo became President. Today, he has the guts to say President Akufo-Addo has hijacked the party…”, he rebuked him.
