The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Kofi Okyere Agyekum, has said that beyond Dr. Bawumia, there’s no other person that must lead the NPP in the run to elections 2024.
He explains that due to how Dr. Bawumia has handled his portfolio, it would be more than prudent for the party to select him as its candidate in the 2024 elections.
“Dr. Bawumia is more than qualified to lead the NPP in 2024. He’s a gem and a treasure to the party. We should miss out on such an opportunity. This is someone who has been very formidable in the party and in government. He has a vision fitting enough to step in the shoes of President Akufo-Addo to steer the affairs of the country”, he spoke in an exclusive interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
He noted that Dr. Bawumia keeps playing a crucial role in addressing the needs of the citizens.
“The number of NPP MPs who are rooting for Bawumia’s candidature is proof that he is destined to be the next president to succeed Nana Akufo-Addo. The race to the presidency is no child’s play for unserious people to just seek the mantle and misuse it, neither is there a queue in the NPP for anyone to claim they have been around for the longest time and should therefore be fielded by the party”, he emphasized.
