The Eastern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jeff Konadu has explained that Dr. Bawumia’s tour of the Eastern region will not have any featured.
He noted that the one-day tour of the region is to touch base with the grassroot, among other groups and might not necessarily have huge rallies held.
“The President candidate of NPP, will start the campaign from Akropong and end at Koforidua in the evening, where he’s expected to meet the Eastern regional campaign team including Parliamentary candidates, MPs among others. He will also meet the traditional leaders, the regional house of chief, religious leaders. He will also engage young artisans in the region in a town hall meeting”, he told Kwaku Dawuro in an exclusive interview.
“Eastern region is extremely ready to receive Dr. Bawumia. The euphoria and enthusiasm of indigenes here in Akropong, which will be the first stop of Dr. Bawumia, is an overwhelming. Everyone is excited”, he added.
