NPP Chairman for New Juaben North, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, has stated that every Ghanaian knows that Dr. Mahamud Bawumia is the best candidate to lead NPP in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
Speaking with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he explained that “this is because as far as NPP is concerned, leadership always merges…once the candidate has what I term as the ground game, it will get to a point where whatever your opponent does against you doesn’t matter…in fact, it doesn’t even count at all…the delegates are already certain and have taken their stance…they must be allowed to take decisions for themselves….However, they must ensure that they vote for their preferred candidate devoid of insults and attacks”.
He subtly rubbished the $800Million bribery allegations making rounds on social media, against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“I have seen some bribery allegations flying in the air, but I see it as a game of politics…because it doesn’t even make sense…if Dr. Bawumia indeed had $800M, let’s make this simple calculation…there are over 203,000 delegates casting their ballot for the Presidential primaries, why would Bawumia decide to give only one person $800million, when he could have shared that among the delegates?”, he asked.
“This is someone who claimed he has created more jobs than all the other four candidates…he has money than all of them, so does it even make sense to hear that Dr. Bawumia, who hasn’t created more jobs, will decide to bribe someone who is richer than he is”, he jabbed.
