Ghanaians Should Demonstrate Against Transport Unions- Alhaji Yusif Fofana

Government spokesperson on social services and member of parliament, Alhaji Yusif Fofana, has asked Ghanaians to for once, demonstrate against Transport Unions in Ghana.

In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning on Wontumi radio/ Movement TV, Mr Fofana spoke about the reduction in fuel prices for the past one month, after government hearing the pleas of Ghanaians. According to him attention has not been channeled to it as it was when fuel price skyrocketed, and has asked Ghanaians to embark on a demonstration against Transport Union, since they have refused to reduce transport fares.

Mr Fofana asserted ”Do you know fuel rates have drastically decreased?. Have you heard anyone talking about it? Its been three weeks since we started reducing fuel rate yet no one is talking about it. As we speak its still reducing, Diesel has dropped from Gh23 to about Gh18.99 and petrol has dropped from Gh20 to Gh16 thereabout, which i think we’re doing well.

Despite all these, Government is not done with Gold for Barter, but i want to speak about it for everyone to know what the President said about a month ago has started working. The oil is coming down, so what i seek is for Ghanaians to also for once, embark on a demonstration against Transport Unions to reduce transport fares.”
