Resign If You Can Not Do The Job- Freda Agyemang Tells Adwoa Safo (VIDEO)

A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Freda Agyemang Sarpong, has asked the embattled Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to resign if she is incapacitated to serve her constituents.

The NPP communicator, charged the Dome-Kwabenya MP to resume her ministerial position as the Gender, Children and Social Protection.

According to Mrs. Agyemang Sarpong, Hon. Adwoa Safo cannot hold government to ransom with what she described as a flimsy excuse over her reason to relocate to United States of America.

Three Members of Parliament have been hauled before the Privileges Committee for continuous absenteeism without permission and reacting to it, Mrs. Prempeh Agyemang opened up that she doesn’t believe the Dome-Kwabenya MP would be able to justify her actions.

She was however quick to add on the Movement In The Morning Political Show that aside Hon. Adwoa Safo, she believes the other two members may be able to give sound reasons for absenting themselves.

“You should just call the President and tell him that you can no longer do the job. There are many capable women who can occupy your ministerial position.  You cannot be holding the ministry to ransom”, she said.

Cecilia Abena Dapaah who is the caretaker minister for the Gender Ministry and the substantive minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, in Mrs. Prempeh Agyemang view, cannot be burdened with the duties of Adwoa Safo, hence the need for her to resign if she’s incapable to continue.

She further expressed her disappointment over the conduct of the Dome-Kwabenya MP, as she least expected her to do what she’s doing.

“Adwoa Safo has really disappointed the few of us who had to break our back to campaign vigorously for her to be elected as the Dome-Kwabenya MP”, she revealed.

She asked that “How then do you travel overseas for close to a year with the excuse that your son is sick and abandon your Ministry and constituents?”

In her view, “Adwoa Safo knows the right thing to do and I’m not the one to tell the President to fire her”.

She stressed that the Sanitation Ministry alone is too huge for Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah to be coupled with the Gender Ministry.
