You Don’t Have A Plan For Ruling The Country- Jennifer Queen To NDC (VIDEO)

A National Deputy Communications director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen, has said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no plan for ruling the country.

This follows a discussion on the implementation of the electronic levy (E-levy) on Movement TV’s political morning show dubbed, Movement In The Morning.

In her submission, she said, “The money NDC borrowed from the International Monitory Fund (IMF) was paid by the NPP, and IMF applauded us for settling all our debt”.

“We sat down and realized we can not develop as a country if we continue depending on debt. We noticed that if electronic transactions are taxed it will help the country in terms of development. Which party in Ghana has scrubbed off taxes because they opposed it when they were in opposition? When the NPP introduced the communication tax in 2008, ex-President Mahama who was then the MP for Bole Bamboi opposed, arguing that it was going to impoverish the people. But when he came into power he increased from 6% to 9% in 2013’’, Jennifer Queen indicated.

She added that the NPP has introduced social policies that are contributing to bettering the lives of Ghanaians.

“The NDC is saying we should quit e-levy and accept the small number of tax returns we get from the telecoms because they don’t have a plan for ruling Ghana as visionary leaders do. Once they come to power they are only focused on winning the next election’’, she concluded.
