A communicator of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Botwe, has described the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as naive and myopic.
He said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro, the host of Movement In The Morning Show on Friday, 29th July,2022.
In his submission he said, “If you compare NPP’s 13 years in power and NDC’s 16 years in power, the difference is clear. They claim they are social democrats but you can’t point out to one social program they have initiated, meanwhile the NPP’s who are capitalist have initiated more social interventions. There have been several developmental projects under President Kufuor and the President Nana-Addo led administration that has greatly benefited Ghanaians. Today Ekumfi pineapple juice is in the international market thanks to President Akufo-Addo’s 1 district 1 factory’’.
‘’President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia has revived a lot of companies that got collapsed under the Mahama led administration. A typical example is the AngloGold Ashanti. Otumfuor Osei Tutu even wanted to sell it for 1 dollar but couldn’t get a buyer. He even went to beg the then government under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama to help revive the company but to no avail, and when President Akufo Addo came to power he revived the mining company’’, he added.
He went on to say that the NDC’s do not think about Ghanaians. “When government introduced the medical drone, we got NDC’s National Women’s Organizer to say it will snap the nakedness of women in bathrooms. Such naïve and myopic thinking-they are weak thinkers”, he stressed.
