A former assembly member and youth organizer, Emmanuel Appienti, has noted that the New Patriotic Party(NPP), has never disappointed Ghanaians like the National Democratic Congress (NDC) always does.
“We’ve had the opportunity to govern Ghana twice, and we have never disappointed Ghanaians right from the era of former President Kufuor likewise President Akufo-Addo”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show.
According to him, many of the social interventions and policies implemented by President Akufo-Addo are geared towards the future. “An example is the free SHS. The first beneficiaries are now in the university and most of them will soon become doctors, engineers and well to do personalities and the country will benefit from them. These are the kind of policies we execute; that tells how beneficial the NPP has been to the country”, he added.
“I quite remember when late President Rawlings tenure was ending, he mentioned that he lives to see how President Kufuor will be able to work for the next six months after he assumes office. But due to how competent and visionary President Kufuor is, he was able to overcome the turbulence”, he said.
Stressing that “it was the same with President Akufo-Addo. A whole lot of challenges but he was able to solve them- this is a clear indication that the NPP is a helping party”.
“If the NDC is capable of doing it, they would have done it for a long time. We are the party that brings development and progress to Ghanaians”, he concluded.
